Photoshop Assignment Try #1

This weeks assignment was to edit two shots two different ways.  I haven't gotten a shot of BD yet that I'm in love with, so I'm going to try his pics tomorrow.  I've been really busy with the boudoir shots for Gary's Vday present, and with a TON of homework... bah.

I shoot in raw format, and usually import with the Adobe Bridge presets, but for this assignment I figured it would be best to zero the image out so you can see exactly what the camera captures in raw.... pretty dull (original).

Edit 1:
For this edit I edited first in Adobe Camera (ACR) and CS4.

ACR:
Recovery 8
Blacks 5
Brightness 50
Contrast 51
Clarity 33

Photoshop:

Exp3 selective color layers
2 brightness/contrasts
1 hue saturation
1levels

Edit 2:
ACR
Exposure: 0
Recovery 8
Blacks 5
Brightness 50
Contrast 51
Clarity 33
Photoshop
Curves, Texture

  1. Wow......these are fabulous. And it really is great to see what changes you have made and what effect they have. I couldn't figure out the zero thing until you explained.
I also really love the way you recreated the flower by cropping and rotating it. Great eye!!
