Photoshopping

I guess I kind of missed the "pick a favorite topic" part, but the mirror one is something I've been thinking about doing and the rose just kind of happened while I was bored at work. I'll try to do some more that are on topic before Tuesday.

For the first shot I took two photos, one of me banging on the mirror and one of me using the sink. I cut myself out of the reflection photo and into the other, using smudge and blur to make it seamless. For the glass break I used a few different special effects brushes. There are tons of different photoshop brushes for download online, and a lot are free. After I got everything looking the way I want, I tritoned the image.

For the rose shot I duotoned the entire image with that pinkish purple color, and then I selected the background and adjusted the color balance till I thought it complented the flower.

Both images were adjusted in levels and curves as well.
